For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to help others, as a child this desire manifested in helping injured animals. As I grew older I looked for different ways to continue my path as a healer, In 2006 I became a certified nurse’s assistant and worked primarily with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.

My role as a certified nurse’s assistant helped open my eyes to alternative medicine and how it could help patients in ways traditional medicine could not. In 2008 I met my first reiki master/teacher and he taught and attuned me to levels 1 and 2 of the Usui Reiki modality.

After receiving my level 2 Reiki attunement I spent some time focusing on self-healing and bringing myself into balance. During this time I ventured into other areas within the medical field and obtained my phlebotomist certificate in 2011. Although I never pursued a career in phlebotomy it helped me realize that I wasn’t done learning yet.
In 2013 I decided it was time to earn my Reiki master/teacher certification, this was such a great experience and I was eager to share this gift with others, I attuned/trained a close friend and my oldest son within the first year of finishing my training.

This prompted me to look into other modalities that would complement my reiki practice. In 2014 I was attuned/trained in forgiveness reiki (Rei Ren’ai) that was channeled by another practitioner within the reiki field.
In 2016 I was attuned to the basic level of Integrated Energy Therapy also known as IET. This modality was a lot different than the ones I had worked with before and utilized angels to help heal patients. In 2017 I received my intermediate level attunement in IET and I plan to eventually receive my master level training in this modality.

I also received my basic and intermediate level training in 2017, in therapeutic touch. This is an energy healing modality that was created by a nurse named Dolores Krieger and her business partner Dora Kunz in 1972 to help heal not only patients but over worked staff.
​
In the end of 2017 I met my future business partner for Zen Again working at a nursing home in Yarmouth, Maine. She was an Ethereal Crystal Reiki master/teacher and has since trained/attuned me to master/teacher level of Ethereal Crystal Reiki healing. This modality is still new to me but with her help and guidance I continue to learn more each day so I can use this modality and others to help heal clients and bring balance into their lives.

My healing journey began in 2010 when I became a certified nurse’s assistant, I originally hoped to pursue my RN but as time went on I fell in love with the one on one interactions between myself and my patients. These interactions allowed me to better understand who I was caring for and that there where better ways to care for those I looked after.

Armed with the knowledge that health and healing went beyond traditional treatment I began looking into alternative practices to aid in healing. During this time I began collecting crystals from a local shop that had become like a second home to me. On one of my visits I met an Ethereal Crystal Reiki Master/teacher named Marie Deforge. She explained what Reiki was and it’s many benefits and I found myself wanting to know more about this modality.

In 2016 Marie attuned/trained as an Ethereal Crystal master/teacher and my whole life changed. The energy was amazing but I wanted to give myself time to understand the modality before moving on to something new or sharing this gift with others. During my adjustment period I met a fellow certified nurse’s assistant named Jennifer Romero at a nursing home in Yarmouth, Maine.

A few months after meeting Jennifer I had written a post on Facebook talking about my dreams of starting my own Reiki practice, Jennifer contacted me and we began making plans to create a business together and share our gifts with one another. In 2017 I attuned her to master/teacher level of Ethereal Crystal Reiki and she attuned me to master/teacher level of Usui Reiki.
​
Together we created Zen Again and Jennifer and I hope to eventually turn this budding business into a holistic center where anyone can learn or receive energy healing. Our dream also includes selling holistic items such as natural soaps infused with healing energy and a crystal in its center to aid in balancing and promoting stress relief. We will also be selling healing infused natural soy and beeswax candles as well as distance healing tools for fellow practitioners or future students.
